Football.
Lech Poznan drew 2-2 = -1pt
Horses:
Spice Bar got held up early doors, but weakened anyhow = -1pt
Elijah Pepper came 3rd after a promising run = -1pt
Guest Book came 2nd as our 2pt bet, and again ran well, but the 12/1 winner looked always in command = -2pts
Acclamazing finished strongly to win at advised 11/10 +1.1pts
Sadafiya came 2nd into a comfortable 1-2 race for our picks. = -1pt
Goal as our 2pt bet was always in the mixer, but couldn't quite that extra to win, 4th = -2pts
Princess Gail couldnt looked like she was always struggling a touch, finishing just behind 'Goal' = -2pts
Amelia's Suprise finished well after chasing throughout and won by a length or so for our (late) 2pt bet + 13.5pts (Have settled at 1pt @ 7/1 and 1pt @ 13/2)
Crucis Abbey came home 2nd to 'Amelia's Suprise' = -1pt
(For any of you that play forecasts then yesterday would have been nice, with the 8.40 at Wolves returning a SF of £16.03, and the exacta at £15.50 (for a £1 stake.) You would have also secured a return in the 6.10 @ Wolves, although the SF of £1.85 is hardly much to cheer about! It is tempting to sometimes suggest bets like these, but we feel that realistically we can't make money from them in the long run. Some compilers who 'rate' races may feel they can, but their methods are different to ours. We focus on picking winners rather than taking on handicappers etc. That is not to say they can not be 'fun' bets from time to time, because some payouts can be pretty hefty for small stakes.)
Profit for the day: Football -1pt
Horses + 4.6pts
Back later for today's selections
