Results Update

Figured I'd get everything up to date ahead of this weekend.

Horses

30th:

Seven Is Lucky - pulled up, -1pt
Tarquinius - second to the fave, -1pt
Marju King - was always in touch but never really challenged in the end, -1pt

So a nothing day, -3pts.

31st:

Malcheek - tracked leaders but never really challenged in the end, -1pt
Pick A Little WON at advised 11/8, winning by a neck, +1.375
Merrion Square - a blunder at the end put him out of contention, -1pt
Watergate - our 2pt bet never really looked as though it was getting anywhere, -2pts
Mighty Monty - crushed at the off but never challenged, -1pt
Onefourfun - a couple of mistakes never gave him a chance, -1pt

1W-5L, a bad day overall -4.625.

1st:

Dancing Art WON at advised 11/4, after running a solid race, +2.75pts
Playing The Field - couldn't find enough at the end, -1pt

1W-1L see us go +1.75pts on the day.

2nd:

Dashing Eddie - never really looked in the race, -1pt
Pipers Piping WON at advised 5/1 after running a very solid race. Looked anyone's out of the top 3 at one points. +5pts
Beneath - held up and and never looked in contention, despite making decent headway after a bad start, -1pt
Standpoint - came no where, -1pt
Star Links - only one pace at the end, -1pt
Ezra Church WON as our 3pt bet at advised 4/1! Ran a fantastic race, winning clearly by 8 lengths. +12pts.

So our first 3pt bet of the year, and our past for quite some months now produced the goods and helped us gain a healthy +13pts on the day. 2W-4L.

That is all horseracing updated, and over this period we had +7.125pts with 4W-13L. Hopefully February can continue to be good to us.

Football

Bury x1.5 - pretty sick to go through this again. A 90(+3) 30yrd screamer was the difference between +6.3pts and -1.5pts. Very tough to get over. 1-1 in the end, -1.5pts
Ipswich - Absolutely destroyed the Hammers at home 5-1, +2.78pts
Barnsley - held on to win 3-2 after going 3-0 up against Derby, +1.52pts.

So the three bets give us +2.8pts and 2W-1L. Under normal circumstances I would be very happy with this, but the frustration of Bury will linger for a few more days. Still, if variance does exist, then hopefully we are due some in our favour.

Usual post tomorrow AM.

Cheers
