Football Results

Last set of football posts not to be recorded was from Friday 14th October, so here we go!

Friday Night Football 14th Oct:
Drogheda lost 1-4 @ home to Bray = -1pt
Lincoln did not qualify as a bet as the 12/5 was unattainable

Saturday 15th:
Burnley lost 0-1 = -1pt
Cardiff drew 2-2 = -1pt
Gillingham won 2-5 as a 1.5pt bet = +3.26
Hull drew 0-0 = -1pt
Portsmouth won 2-0 @ evens = +1pt
QPR drew 1-1 = -1pt
Scunthorpe drew 0-0 despite having 10 men = -1pt
Tranmere won 1-0 = +1.04pts
Gaziantepspor drew 0-0 = -1pt
Anderlecht won 5-0 = +0.7pts
Helsingsborgs lost 0-2 = -1pt

So a marginal loss of -1.01pts

Midweek Football Tues 18th:
2 x 2pt bets
Millwall drew 1-1 = -2pts
Newport won 3-1 = +1.62pts

So a small loss of -0.38pts

Saturday 22nd Oct Football:
Wolves drew 2-2 = -1pt
Arsenal won 3-1 = +0.66pts
Inverness drew 1-1 as the 2pt bet with a late pen costing us = -2pts
Macclesfield won 0-1 = +2.42pts
Middlesborough won 2-0 = +0.73pts
Nice lost 1-0 = -1pt
Southend won 4-1 = +0.78pts
Djugardens drew 1-1 = -1pt

Another small loss of -0.41pts

Midweek football Tues 25th Oct:
Accrington lost 1-0 = -1pt
Cheltenham lost 0-1 = -1.5pts
MK Dons lost 2-1 = -1.5pts
Rochdale drew 1-1 = -1.5pts
Tranmere won 0-2 as the 2pt bet = +3.72pts

So another losing night, even if the 2pt bets keep up their good record. -1.78pts

We have to keep plugging along with the footy, but it is frustrating nonetheless. Let us hope the tide is turning. If you look around, a lot of rating systems are struggling right now, and that is how we sort of generate football bets. We ask ourselves a lot of questions, especially because last year was quite poor compared to previous years. One to keep an eye on.
