Horse Racing Results

Unlike the football where we can feel unlucky, the horse selections did not really perform that great at all.

Friday:
Circumvent 4th as the 2pt bet. Backed into 9/2f (from adv 8/1) and whilst always in contention, just lacked that final ability to push on. The poor run on the 2pt bets continues = -2pts
Blades Lad 3rd, also just lacked the extra required =-1pt
King Of The Night WON. Drifted to 7/2 SP but won well by 5 lengths = +3.5pts
Storm Surge never looked right during the run = -1pt
High Jack looked to be running well, but weakened = -1pt
Dream Of Fortune held up, and never really threatened = -1pt

-2.5pts

Saturday:
Stagecoach Amber took up a prominent position early on, but tailed off = -1pt
Whatdoidowiththat never got going = -1pt
Toulouse Express 2nd as the 2pt bet, but no extra and not good enough with the winner = -2pts
Abergavenny never dangerous. Hats off to Dettori on 25/1 winner 'Never Can Tell' for his ride = -1pt
Pimpernel 2nd decent run, but winner was too good in the end = -1pt
Domtaline WON, also drifting to 13/8 SP. Led from early on, and pulled well clear to win by 9l = +1.63
Jubail in contention (with Domtaline) early on, but blundered and tailed off = -1pt
Five Dream didn't do much = -1pt
Cathcart Castle held up, and tried well, but too far back in the end = -1pt
Holiday Reading didn't really contend = -1pt
Red Alpha 3rd, ridden to chase, but just not enough = -1pt

A poor day by all accounts with only 1 winner. -9.37pts

Sunday:
Temple Lord started well as the 2pt bet, but a mistake caused a set back, and was soon outpaced = -2pts
Silverware was heavily backed, and the first parts of the race looked to justify this, but soon lost places and eased well off = -1pt

-3pts

Not the best of times recently. Time to stick with it and keep plugging along. Thank you
